In 1992, Motorola retained Corry Associates to obtain funding for a Statewide Digital Communication System. This digital system, with enhanced interoperability features, was designed to replace an analog system that was more than thirty years old. Over the course of eight years, Corry Associates helped source more than $70M for this Statewide Digital Communication System for several Massachusetts Public Safety Agencies including the Massachusetts State Police and other First Responder Agencies in Massachusetts.
Corry Associates helped to facilitate Memorandum of Understanding between several State Agencies, as well as the dialogue regarding obtaining tower sites in Western Massachusetts.
Topographical issues in Western Massachusetts in the area between Interstate 91 and the New York border would ultimately require more than seventy (70) tower sites. Corry Associates helped identify public resources and private landowners to facilitate lease agreements.
