Since 1994, Corry Associates has represented the Motion Picture Association in Massachusetts and has helped the Film Industry increase its presence in the Commonwealth. Corry Associates helped draft and pass the Film Tax Credit Legislation in 2005. With the passage of the permanent Film Tax Credit in 2021 the Legislature preserved more than 7,000 jobs and has made Massachusetts a premier destination to film Motion Picture, Streaming and Television Productions. We estimate that 30 major film productions will occur in 2022. There are currently plans to build four new state of the art venues adding sixteen new sound stages across the Commonwealth.
